Crews from Truro and Redruth attended the fire just after 6pm yesterday, which involved a construction container measuring 5m x 2m. Crews extinguished the fire using a hosereel and the Police were requested as arson was suspected. On arrival crews found a small fire in the cellar of the public house and they used one hosereel to extinguish the fire. The crews were detained at the scene for 45 minutes. The alert came to the fire service at 9.08pm and they attended using breathing apparatus and a hose reel and covering jet to extinguish the fire before ventilating the property. Police also attended and fitted a smoke alarm in the property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the fire, which is believed to have started in a bedroom.
